How to install NoPass?

You will have to go to your respected app store and from there conduct a search for “NoPass” in the search box.

How to conduct registration?

  1. After you open your desired website that supports authentication via NoPass™ you can click on the register with NoPass to register on the Full Duplex Authenticationpassword-less service, and if you are not registered on the website we have additionally built the ability for you to register on the service and the website simultaneously without the need to set a password.

  2. You enter your details and click the Register button.

  3. A QR code will appear on your screen, you will need to open the NoPass application on your device. On the top right-hand corner, you will press the add (+) button.

 

If it is the first time you are using NoPass it will ask you for permission to access your camera, please accept the permission.

  • Hold your device in front of the screen so that the QR code is visible through the camera.

  • An 8-digit code will appear on your mobile device, please enter this code in the designated section on your website.

  • After entering the code correctly, you will receive a message that will show you have successfully registered with NoPass.

How to conduct authentication?
  1. Open your desired website and navigate to the Login section. After entering your login name, click on the Login using “NoPass”.

  2. You will receive a push notification on your phone that will inform you of an attempted log in on a specific website.

  3. Open the push notification, you will see a picture and a three-digit number appear on your mobile device and a picture and three-digit code should appear on your login page too.

  4. By visually comparing the two images and three-digit numbers you should press accept if they are identical or deny if it is not identical or you have not initiated a login request.

 
How to enable second-factor authentication?

  1. Open your NoPass app.

  2. Navigate to the Menu page.

  3. On the menu page, choose Security.

  4. Here you can configure your 2nd-factor authentication,

 

If you choose “Enable Local Authentication”, after each attempt to log in or delete you will be asked to verify the response with your 2nd factor of authentication.

 

If you disable the “Enable Local Authentication”, you will have the option to add an additional 2nd factor of authentication other than that is already on your mobile device. You can currently choose from a PIN code and a Pattern.

 
How to Backup your accounts?

In NoPass the user has the ability to link their accounts to a Google account that will save encrypted information so that the user will have the possibility to restore it when needed. 

  • Upon first time registration and installation of NoPass

  1. You will receive a prompt that “NoPass” wants to use your Google account to Sign in.

  2. By accepting this message and pressing on “Continue”, you will be redirected to your Google accounts from here you can choose which account you would like to use to backup the information needed for restoring on.

  3. Afterward, you must grant permission to NoPass to gain access to Google Drive.

  4. After accepting, you will be asked to enter a PIN code that will be used to recover and restore your accounts from Google.

  5. After the PIN is entered and confirmed your restoration function is activated.

 *The PIN must be 6 digits.

 *Do not lose this PIN! You'll need to provide it again to recover your accounts. NoPass cannot recover this PIN for you. Be sure to store it securely. If you lose this PIN your accounts can not be restored.

  • If you decide to not complete these steps upon the first installation you can always

  1. Open your NoPass app.

  2. Navigate to the Menu page.

  3. On the menu page, choose Settings.

  4. Here you can enable Back up to Google Drive.

 
How to Restore your accounts?

NoPass accounts can only be restored if the user has enabled the Backup option and the accounts are successfully backed up prior to the restoring process. 

  1. Upon changing your device or reinstallation of NoPass on your device, after you open the application and accept receiving notifications from NoPass, you will receive a message that if you want to enable backup/restore.

  2. By pressing on “Restore”, you will be asked to enter the restoration PIN that you set before.

  3. After entering your PIN, you will receive a prompt that “NoPass” wants to use your Google account to Sign in.

  4. By pressing “Continue” you will be redirected to your Google accounts, and there you have to choose the account you used to backup your accounts and complete the verification by Google.

  5. If you are verified by Google (SMS, email) successfully your NoPass accounts will start being restored one-by-one and you can see them in your NoPass “Account management”​

  • If you decide to not complete these steps upon the first installation you can always

  1. Open your NoPass app.

  2. Navigate to the Menu page.

  3. On the menu page, choose Settings.

  4. Here you can choose the Restore option.
